I spotted some beautiful photography at the Nyack Street fair this past weekend. Local artwork can be a great addition to your space - it’s original, inspirational and doesn’t have to cost a fortune. The best part is that you will be supporting local artists and businesses.
Michael Mariotti Interior Design has always been a big supporter of local volunteer groups and nonprofits, and what a better way to get involved than with a home remodeling organization?!
Rebuilding Together Bergen County is a great local nonprofit organization that helps those in need attain affordable homeownership and make repairs to those homes at no cost to the owner. Their mission is “bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of homeowners in need.”
Kickoff to Rebuild is an annual program where the organization partners with the NFL to rebuild houses in Super Bowl cities across the country. In honor of the upcoming Super Bowl XLVIII at the Meadowlands, Rebuilding Together and the NFL will be repairing 12 homes, a playground and a community building.
For more information or to become a volunteer (join us on a construction site!) go to their website http://rebuildingtogetherbergen.org/get-involved or call 201-447-8886.

We are sad to announce that this year’s Hampton Designer Showhouse has ended, but what an amazing event it was! We are honored to have been a part of it and cannot wait until next year. Our master bathroom turned out to be so much more beautiful and impressive than we could have ever expected, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of our many generous vendors. The responses to the room were overwhelmingly positive, it was such a special experience. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us!
Thanks to Barbara Page for her lovely comments about my room at this year’s Hampton Designer Showhouse. Check out her blog - there are some great detail shots of the room, and her comments are so flattering and in-depth. It’s such an honor to be featured on her site and we look forward to seeing her again at next year’s showhouse!

Hosted by Sub-Zero and Wolf at the Sub-Zero Showroom in Manhattan, the June 13th Hampton Designer Kickoff Party was a blast. I even got to rub elbows with internationally known interior designer Mario Buatta!

JC Penney has really kicked it up a notch with their home décor lines. They have recently starting carrying Jonathan Adler, Sir Terence Conran and Pantone. The new offerings are so fresh and exciting, they really bring JC Penney into the realm of classy interior design.
